North Ogden Police Officers Sub For Santa

Protect & Serve

Come Christmas time, the North Ogden Police Department takes its creed to “Protect and Serve” to a whole new level. Certainly, increased crime rates during the holiday season require greater protection; however, the emphasis has been placed on “Serve” for North Ogden’s finest.

Throughout the year, the officers of the NOPD raise money for a program they call “Sub for Santa”, an opportunity they take to collect funds to purchase gifts for struggling families in their community. Every year, by hosting their annual golf tournament, as well as their Day Out Against Crime, by placing collection tins in local markets, and also by donating $3.00 from every paycheck to the Policeman’s Association, our boys in blue help make Christmas a reality for some very thankful families.

This Christmas, the North Ogden Police collected a near $4000, allowing them to purchase gifts for seven households, and bring some Christmas cheer to their neighbors, taking Santa himself along for the ride in their patrol cars. Even with all they do and all they risk every day, the officers of the North Ogden Police Department continue to find new ways to serve their community and deserve our deepest appreciation.
