Caught in the Act - North Ogden Parks and Recreation is proud to offer CAUGHT IN THE ACT Summer Theatre Camp for children going into grades 4th-9th during the 21/22 school year! Step into a world of creative play, musical adventures, and theatrical escapades as participants use their imagination to create a culminating performance showcase. This is one inspiring and fun summer you won't want to miss!
Ages: Grades 4th through 9th for the 2021-2022 School year.
Duration: Camp for grades 4th-9th runs July 19-22 and July 27-30 from 8:30-11:30 AM. Final performance July 30th at 8PM.
Location: The Amphitheater at North Ogden's Barker Park
Cost: $75
Drop-off: 8:20am – 8:30am
Pick Up: 11:30am – 11:40am
This camp includes: 8 days (24 hours) of instruction in acting, singing and dancing by trained professionals and student mentors and a special performance of CAUGHT IN THE ACT – A Musical Showcase
Daily Activities: Teamwork and imagination games, building the final presentation as an ensemble. Learning scenes, music and choreography, practicing parts and lyrics. Using formal stage skills during rehearsal.
Skills Developed: -Theatrical skills: character development, musical performance, stage directions, character movement and choreography. Life Skills: following directions, confidence building, teamwork, and risk taking. Strengthen motor skills through movement, learning rhythm and music. New this year: Stage management and technical instruction!
Final Presentation: 30-45 minute original production of CAUGHT IN THE ACT on stage. Participants have individual roles, use memorized lines, and perform musical numbers.
